About

I would like to explain my idea that “Ordinary believing leads to extraordinary belief.” As believers, we are tasked with viewing all circumstances through the lens of what we believe. This is an age of Christianity in which many people are being drawn to to the seemingly “extraordinary.” People are being drawn to trendy, extraordinary Christian music; mega churches; and the supernatural.

I am passionate in my belief that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, and that it should be the priority of believers, including myself, to stay grounded and rooted in the Word—not getting caught up in the bustle of the trends, speakers, authors, and certainly not the manifestations that many are claiming to take place—all “extraordinary.”

By remaining “ordinary” and adhering to the Word, it is truly not ordinary at all, but is indeed true extraordinary faith and belief. I am an ordinary believer—I have my flaws, I am nowhere near perfect, and I am definitely not a master when it comes to knowledge of and studying the Word; however, I believe that clinging to God’s Word and standing by it to the best of my ability (which might seem “ordinary” to those who seek manifestations), will indeed result in an extraordinary faith. I believe Jesus would have been considered “ordinary” to the pharisees, the sadducees, and the people of His time (Matthew 16:1-4). He associated with ordinary people. Consider Simon Peter, Andrew, James, and John: ordinary fishermen with little to no influence, who became some of His first disciples! I will do my best to continue to be an “ordinary believer,” and I think, that will lead me to extraordinary belief.

Jesus was ordinary yet extraordinary; and if that’s enough for Him, it’s more than enough for me.

I believe Jesus Christ is our savior and our King who gives us hope. I am a wife, a dog mom, and a high school teacher.
